New feature – InstaQuote Prospects

We’re rolling out a new feature called InstaQuote Prospects. A prospect is a potential customer who used the InstaQuote tool on your website but didn’t submit their contact information. That data is still valuable. It’s kind of like getting a good bite while fishing—but the hook didn’t set. You may not have reeled them in yet, but you know there’s a fish there.

What information may be available for a prospect?

  • Their address
  • How far they got in the process (entered address, selected roof, edited roof, viewed materials, selected pitch, and/or clicked price)
  • Whether they edited their roof outline
  • What materials they viewed
  • What materials they clicked the price button for

Prospects appear on your dashboard next to Appointments, Leads, and Clients. As soon as someone enters an address, a prospect is created. If they submit their contact info during the same session, they become a lead—and the prospect entry is removed.

Why prospects are valuable

Having an address is always useful. You could mail a quote packet to that home or send someone to door-knock. Your team can casually say they were “in the area”—even if they already know there's interest.

Prospects also give you better visibility into how many visitors are using the tool but aren’t quite ready to submit their contact info.

What you see depends on how far the user got. If they entered an address and selected a roof, it’ll look a lot like an InstaQuote. You’ll also see any materials they viewed or clicked for pricing.

You can delete prospects or add internal notes from the detail page. You’ll also see referral source and browser/device info.

InstaQuote update

We’ve added material views, price clicks, and roof outline edits to InstaQuote records too (for new leads going forward).

Analytics

Prospects Analytics

Prospects now show up in Analytics—just like Appointments, InstaQuote leads, and Contact Form submissions. While there’s no card for them on the main overview, there’s a new Prospects tab with detailed stats:

  • Number of prospects over time
  • Funnel (how far they got: address, roof, pitch, etc.)
  • Time of day and day of week they interacted
  • Which page they used InstaQuote on (if installed on multiple pages)
  • Advertising and referrer info
  • Original landing pages
  • Device type

Zapier integration

We’re adding new Prospect triggers to our Zapier integration, currently in beta. Reach out if you're interested in testing.
